Terrance’ Akins, who was formerly incarcerated as a youth transferred into the adult penal system, spent over a decade of his life in the department of corrections on an illegal sentence. In-spite-of his misfortune, he refused to be just another prison statistic. Defying all odds against him, he utilized his place of incarceration as a learning university and self-rehabilitated into becoming a great asset that would make a difference inside and outside of prison.

With faith in God, Terrance' resiliently rose up above all barriers and limitations, obtained his GED, completed three vocational classes, became a redeemed minister, teacher’s aide/tutor, created learning curriculums and initiated institutional rehabilitative programs to help others reform their lives as well.

Today, physically liberated, he has broken all stereotypes of recidivism and generational cycles. Continuing with stronger determination, and forging new pathways, he is the intellectual engineer and CEO of STRATEJIST117, a community/social reformer and activist, reentry specialist, motivational speaker, small business owner, minister and the founder/president of his nonprofit organization helping to restore lives and giving back to inner city kids and marginalized communities.

Terrance' has worked with many elected officials, organizations, activists, community leaders and entrepreneurs to make a revolutionary change and for justice reform. Taken from his own life’s journey, knowledge, successes and failures... he founded STRATEJIST117, built off of proven results and lived experience.
